Honesty

The ballad of Thomas the Rhymer from Scotland tells of a harper who choses to go with the Faerie Queen to Elfland for seven years. She loved Thomas and therefore offered him a chance to return to the human world later in his life. All he had to promise was to never speak while in fair elfland and never to tell a lie in the human world. Thomas chose to return to Scotland where he became a great prophet. Some of his prophecies stand today and many have proven true in the past.
